This watch was a gift a long time ago and it is like an old friend. The sentimental value is immense. Many thanks for restoring life to my 35-year-old Seiko manual-wind watch!  I
wear it daily, and because it was my wedding gift from my husband in 1975, it
has tremendous sentimental value to me, aside from the fact that it still is
perfectly functional. 

When it stopped running, I thought I was doomed to just store it in a drawer,
because no one wanted to touch such an "old" watch.  But you cleaned and oiled
it, and put a new face and bezel on it, so now it looks (and runs!) as good as
new.  

In addition, you communication is superb, both about the initial repair
evaluation and when I later sent an email with a question-- to which you
promptly responded with a phone call. 

Finally, although you replaced the watch band at my request, when I found
another band I preferred, you reimbursed me for the value of the watch band AND
my postage to return it to you. You really do stand behind your work, and your
no-quibble warranty is impressive.

Thank you again -- I will recommend you and will use your services in the

I received my watch on Saturday. It looks as Sharp as the Day I bought it.
Running great as well. The time was Dead On right out of the Package.
Its amazing to me that it spent 13 days in transit and less than a Day on your work bench.
I have placed you in my Company Classifieds for anyone who owns a High Quality Watch that may need service.
The fastest watch service I know of currently and the Cost was much less then one would expect.
You will be hearing from me shortly. I have a Gld Bulova from I believe 1948. I am not exactly sure, I only know it was an Anniversary Gift from my Mother to Him. Great Sentimental Value. It currently has a Twist-O-Flex Band but it really shoild have

Some sort of Animal Skin instead. I will let you advise me on what may go with that watch.

Just a quick follow up. I went to the my local USPS branch yesterday and picked up the registered package that they tried to deliver a week ago Friday. The watch looks great Ė Iím thrilled to have it back in service. Thanks again for the great service and good communication throughout the process.

I was chatting with a couple of colleagues yesterday about having my ďvintageĒ Seiko repaired and we all agreed that for the price of this repair you just canít seem to get a quality new watch anymore. One gentleman said that he had bought several watches for less than $100 over the years and they just donít last. This Seiko has been going for about 30 years and I trust will easily go another 30 years.

Rec'd watch a couple days ago and can't express my joy at your rejuvenation.

The job was nothing fancy: a Seiko from the 80's, but I really liked its simple style.

It's been out of commission for a good 10 years, 5 of which were spent at the last repair

I have received the watch a week ago. I works great. I am glad that I found

down to 100m while diving, I just wanted to make sure that a jump in the

In our phone conversation, I had told you that the tube in your Seiko 
Kinetic was damaged, and that the installation of a new crown would not 
be sufficient to make the watch water resistant to its original rating. 
However, there was clearance enough to install a Rolex-style crown 
gasket. I have installed one of these, and it does fit well, and passed 
the pressure test that I performed on the watch. The watch can therefore 
probably be taken to its rated depth. Nevertheless, as I was unable to 
use a crown gasket that is original to the watch, since this was not 
available, if you do take the watch in water, I cannot warranty is water 
resistance. Although it did hold up under pressure to the watch's 
original depth rating, I would still be careful with it because the 
gasket is not the one intended for the watch.

Dear Stephen,

I wanted to let you know I received my watch last week. I also wanted to 
again say thanks for you assistance in doing all of this. Your letter 
asked for feedback, and I am simply pleased above and beyond 
expectations, as so many others have told me this Seiko Dive Watch could 
not be fixed, let alone fix it as quickly as you did. Your communication 
and follow-up are also far above the norm, showing simple, old fashioned 
customer focus. You have a customer for life.

If you don't mind, I have a couple of opinion questions to ask you:

1. Do you think the repairs are robust ,ie; would you still dive with 
this watch and do you feel it is pressure tight in the crown, back, 
etc. ? I have been down over 200ft in the past with this watch, but no 
longer dive like that, but want to know if it can take general 
swimming/fishing type water exposure.
2. Are the parts so difficult enough to get (in the future) that I 
should treat this gently and avoid screwing and unscrewing the crown to 
avoid the possibility of future repairs ? I think notice it has some 
minor thread friction that may indicate a finite life to the crown (from 
an earlier repair attempt I believe where it may have been cross 
threaded slightly) and if needed I can treat this watch delicately to 
keep it working (ie; minimize adjustments, time zone re-setting for 
travel, etc.)
3. Are batteries for this available in the future through you ?

Otherwise, all is working very well (you even had the correct time for 
California !) and I was very happy to see this working again. I think my 
sister will want to send her broken Tag to you, do you do those as well ?

        I received my Seiko chronograph today at the post office along with 
the other chronograph I included as a possible donor.  Great job!  You took 
a tired old watch and made it new again.  It's beautiful.  I'm really 
surprised you can still get those parts.  The pushers feel great, the

Dear Steve - My sincere apologies for not getting back to you sooner - My Network was down due too some re-wiring in the house - In any event sir I must express my sincere appreciation for the Honest, Continued Communication, and Very reasonable Price to fix my 3 watches. I wanted to take a moment and again say thanks for your ability to fix my nearly 30 year old Seiko dive watch. Iíll also take your advice and limit future diving with it given the rarity of parts, but I very much appreciate the care in you took getting it running again. You completed major repair on this watch several years ago, and recently replaced batteries after a second trip to you, and itís been running perfectly since the original repair. What is most impressive is that you were able to quickly fix this after many (including Seiko themselves!) could not or would not attempt the work. Since the watch has significant sentimental value, Iím pleased it remains in functional condition, but will limit severe exposure from here. The service and customer focus from your company is well above expectations, so again, I just wanted to say thanks.
