Sorry - Because of a heavy work load, at this time I am only taking in watches that must be returned to me under my repair warranty. Check back after the February 22nd 2018.

I take a limited number of watches in for repair, and by mail only. There are some watches that I cannot acquire parts for, or that are too worn out to repair, so please call me, Stephen Thomas at 503- 239-1859, before sending me any watch for repair. Calling me in person, or leaving a message on my answering machine, is the most efficient method for me. If you prefer to e-mail, please include your phone number. When sending me a watch, please complete and enclose the Sending Watch Form from my web site, even if you have sent me the watch for repair before. The link is below and says Sending Your Watch. When e-mailing turn off your spam blocker so my reply will get through.

I do not sell parts, or do appraisals. Please do not ask.

Hello Stephen:

My Elgin watch arrived late this afternoon.

I must tell you I am extremely pleased with what you were able to do with the watch. It looks magnificent, and after 50 years, I didn't think it would ever be operable again.

Thank you so much.

secure packaging. I am very happy with the work done on my watch and I will
gladly pass your business cards to any of my friends who may be
contemplating repair or restoration of a valuable timepiece. I have another

I just wanted to let you know how much enjoyment I have gotten out of wearing my watches that you repaired for me. One was a gift from my husband when we were first married and wearing brings back so many memories. I had taken my watches to several different jewerly shops and such to try to get it fixed over the years but none were able to do so.

I am grateful!

Dear Mr. Thomas---per your request I am submitting a letter of satisfaction regarding your repair and cleaning up of my old Elgin wristwatch, which today is being sent off to its new owner, a family member in Illinois--I shall also send all the relevant paperwork along with it in case my son desires further work. I am most happy with the work you performed and very much appreciate your professionalism with the correspondence, and would gladly recommend you to anyone. Thanks and sincerely, Ken Norenberg

I want to thank you for your fine work on the Elgin. It was
quite old but a sentimental piece. I appreciate the restoration you did
so it looks just like it did when it was new. You were very
trustworthy, prompt and reasonably price. I appreciate all of those

Just received my watch today in the mail - thanks so much for replacing the
crown in my Lord Elgin. The watch means a great deal to me as it belonged to a
very special uncle. I really appreciate your committment to excellence and
standing behind your work. I'll be glad to recommend you highly to those who
are in need of your services.

Dear Steve,

I received my "new looking" old watch and it was really above my expectations. This watch was sent to me as a birthday present by my now deceased mother while I was serving a tour in Viet Nam in 1966. While this watch is not a valuable collectors piece, to me it is priceless. The only problem is now my old band does not seem appropriate and will have to get a new one.

Thank you for a reasonably priced quality job.

job well done!

I have received my watch today. Thanks for the extremely professional
Other repairman have told me that the watch could not be fixed because parts
no longer available. I was surprised when you said it only needed to be
cleaned and
oiled. I will be sure to use your services in the future if I need them and
will gladly
recommend others to you.

Thanks again.

Stephen I received my watches on Tuesday, they arrived safe and sound. I have spent the last four days wearing each of them and just enjoying them. I can not tell you just how pleased I am with the work and the way they all run. All good things take time to make and repair and I'm so glad I took the time to research and find you to work on my watches. I have already recommended you to one person who watch you have repair and he is as happy as I am. I will continue to recommend you to anyone I can, and I can not find the words to thank you for the great work. Thank you from a highly satisfied customer. Alan Smith
