Sorry - Because of a heavy work load, at this time I am only taking in watches that must be returned to me under my repair warranty. Check back after the February 22nd 2018.

I take a limited number of watches in for repair, and by mail only. There are some watches that I cannot acquire parts for, or that are too worn out to repair, so please call me, Stephen Thomas at 503- 239-1859, before sending me any watch for repair. Calling me in person, or leaving a message on my answering machine, is the most efficient method for me. If you prefer to e-mail, please include your phone number. When sending me a watch, please complete and enclose the Sending Watch Form from my web site, even if you have sent me the watch for repair before. The link is below and says Sending Your Watch. When e-mailing turn off your spam blocker so my reply will get through.

I do not sell parts, or do appraisals. Please do not ask.

Dear Stephen,

I received the watch safe and sound, thank you.  I very much appreciate the service you provided.  The watch works wonderfully and it looks great.  You did a great job with the watch and I am very satisfied with the service.  It is nice to know there is a watch repair service close to home that is trustworthy and safe.

If I know of anyone else that has an Omega watch I will be the first one to tell them to go to you if they need any repairs.

Again, thank you for the service.  It is greatly appreciated!

Your preventive maintenance of my Speedmaster and opening up of a classic Deville
From: David James
Sent: Wed, 22 Jun 2011 19:42:31 -0400
Dear Mr. Thomas:
You have provided top shelf and expedited service for my Omega Speedmaster and also a "brand new" 20+ year old Omega Deville that had never been on a wrist. My 32 year old Speedmaster which you are familiar from your last service about five years ago is worn irregularly. I sent it along on the presumption it needed service (Omega claims every five years). You replied back it really needed nothing at this time but I chose for you to open it up and do your magic anyway. Also, the Deville was purchased over 20 years ago as "new old stock" from a NYC jeweler going out of business in that area. It was purchased when the intended recipient, my son Michael, was 2 years old, and was going to be his college grad present. Well, he just graduated and that watch, after your "pre-operational service" (You also opined it "needed nothing at this time") has been presented to him. That's the least I can do for a fine lad and a fine piece of machinery. Next year, son #2, David, will have the same type of watch presented to him. You'll be seeing the other Deville in around 9 months or so!

Many thanks for exceptional customer care and reasonable prices. Your service and professionalsim is unmatched. You volunteered to turn down work but I have so much confidence in you that it would cheat myself if I did not take advantage.

Best regards,

David James
Fredericksburg VA

I received my Omega automatic yesterday, and on the basis of 24 hours
of observation, it appears to be in excellent regulation. The band is
polished to a high gloss, and it fits perfectly once more. Thank you
for your excellent service.

Hi Stephen,
I have been using the 1960's Omega Seamaster you repaired for about a month now, and just wanted to let you know that everything seems to be working fine.  I appreciate your quality workmanship, timely service and reasonable prices.  When I get some extra cash, I'll probably send you my father's Omega 265, so that you can make the repairs you said it needed.  Thanks again.  It's been a pleasure doing business with you.

This is a note to thank you for the excellent craftsmanship you used
in repairing my Omega Constellation watch. It has never looked
better, and the restoration of the Roman Numerals on the bezel is
perfect. I will not have any doubt as to where to bring my future
watch repairs, or who to recommend to my friends should they need
watch repairs.

Thank you very much,

Dear Stephen:
I just picked up my watch today from the post office, since I wasn't home this past weekend. I put it together and it's works perfectly. Thank you very much, I appreciated the fast, courteous service you provided me. This is new to me doing business over the Internet, it was truly a pleasure thank you again.

Dear Mr. Thomas, I received my 1967 Omega Seamaster back from you and have had it a week. I just want to tell you how pleased I am with your work. It is keeping perfect time. As you know, I originally sent my watch to SMH ( a division of Omega ) for repair. They sent the watch back saying they no longer supported the watch. I then tried to contact their customer service department for further explanation. They never returned my calls! This was disappointing to say the least, as the watch was given to me by my Father in 1997 and means a great deal to me. The watch has quite a history, my father purchased it on his first tour of duty in Vietnam when he was in the Army. My Father, and his watch subsequently survived a second tour of Vietnam a few years later. Needless to say, this Omega faces a relatively boring existence in comparison to those days. Thank you for the excellent service and follow-up during repair. I will highly recommend your service for all watch bearers and in particular Omega owners. Sincerely, Jeff Guillemette  _________________________________________________________________

I just my Sea Master today. Fantastic!  Looks as good as new, the polishing
is perfect, the clasp is tighter than new (good work!) and it is keeping
perfect time.  I've already handed out your business card to a colleague in
the Embassy as they have a watch they want to get worked on (Rolex) next
time they are in the States.  I can't say how pleased I am with the whole
transaction.  Your communication was timely and prompt, the workmanship is
excellent, and the price unbeatable.  A great combination.  Feel free to

Dear Stephen;

Please find a note which you may use as a reference.

You have now repaired three watched for me. A Seiko Kinetic, An Omega
Constellation and the Leica Chronograph. All three times your service has
been prompt, your prices fair, and I have not had any problems with your

With the first watch I sent, I was leary about sending a watch over the
to a person a I had never met before. But my worries were quickly put
to rest when you let me know that you had received the watch. Every
step of the way you notifed me as to the status of the repair.

The word "quality" fits the the service that you provide.

Thanks again for all your work.

Thanks so much for the amazing job with our seamaster watches- They look and behave as good as new!
Your diligent handling, candid evaluation and recommendations, and the superb outcome are all much appreciated! I will be sure to recommend your services to friends and colleagues.
Many Thanks again!
PS-do you handle Rolex watch repairs too?

Dear Stephen,

Sorry it’s taken me so long to send this email, but things are very busy in the doctor business. Thanks for your prompt and courteous handling of my Omega repair. The clasp is working just fine. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the turnaround time turned out to be – I had heard nightmare stories of waiting months for parts.

Nonetheless, I would recommend your services to anyone looking for quality repairs.

Thanks again,

Dr. Z

My Speedmaster arrived on Wednesday and I just wanted to let you know
how pleased I am with the work you did for me. The watch looks as if it
just came from the factory - and works as well as it did the day I
bought it over 30 years ago. The transformation is stunning. I had no
idea how much work it needed after all these years or how difficult it
might be to obtain the parts for it. Your professionalism, not only in
your work, but your timely communications, is most appreciated. It's
great to have it back - like meeting up with an old friend who hasn't
aged a day since we last saw each other. I would not hesitate for a
second to recommend you to anyone needing the services of an expert in
bringing fine old watches back to life.
With great thanks,

Note: Several Weeks 10/05 after Richard Received his watch back  it stopped, and a hand fell off. He is sending it back and I will update this when it is repaired.

I received the Omega Speedmaster last week and am very happy with its operation and appearance. The phosporous was applied with lots of care and looks like new. The chrono operation seems to be much more accurate and the watch does not stop randomly any more. Thank you and I would recommend you to my friends.

Dear Stephen,
Thank you for doing such a good job on my Omega Seamaster DeVille watch
repair. I have tracked the timing and it his the best it has been for a
long time. Also, I noticed the feel it has when manually winding and it
confirms that previous repairs have not allowed as smooth a movement. It's
a pleasure to know that such good service can be received when dealing in
with a watch repair service via mail.

I received my Omega Seamaster watch several days ago. I'm more than
with the work you did. It looks like new and performs perfectly. I'd like
to add that I thought you were a true professional keeping me informed of
the status; and, especially being able to get the parts you needed for a
watch that old. I'm sure you went to a lot of extra effort and I certainly
do appreciate it. Again, thanks a bunch.

Dear Mr. Thomas,

At long last my 33 year old Omega Speedmaster Moon Watch is back! While it took two months to get it serviced because of back-ordered parts, it was certainly worth the wait.

The watch looks brand new again and the chronograph buttons work properly now and I can wind it and set the time. I'm glad I had you re-illuminate the hands and dial markers because they couldn't be seen in the dark anymore.

My only suggestion is that the cleaning should include the metal bracelet. Mine was not cleaned and while this is a minor issue, I think that should be part of the service.

It is difficult in this day and age to find someone who takes their craft seriously and cares about their customers. You took the time to answer my questions promptly during the repair and it was obvious to me that you are genuinely concerned about providing a quality service to people who care about their watches.

I will recommend you to anyone who needs professional watch repair and I will certainly be sending you my watch in the future when it need servicing.

Steve Thomas,

I want to thank you for repairing, cleaning and pressure testing my Omega SeaMaster watch. As you could tell from the condition of the watch I wear it daily. It was returned in “as new” condition and is now back on my wrist.

I learned or your services searching the internet and after a brief and enjoyable conversation felt comfortable sending the watch to you. As it turned out, the repair was more complex than expected, but you kept me informed on the parts availability issues and the new repair dates. You worked with me in a very professional manner and I received a quality job at a fair price.

All in all it was a pleasurable experience.

Dear Stephen

I have been wearing my re-furbished Omega Seamaster Automatic everyday
since it arrived from your shop.

Since this watch was given to me by my father 27 years ago, it is very
special and therefore selecting the most qualified and reputable watch
expert was critical.

The watch looks beautiful, but more important it works! Your
communication on the watch status was timely and complete, the quality
of work professional.

Please feel free to use me as a reference for all OMEGA owners or anyone
who needs a trusted watch repair expert.

Dear Christian,

I had the parcel containing your Omega Seamaster watch traced by my
local Post Office this afternoon. It arrived in Miami earlier today, so
if you have not yet received it, or received notice of it, you should be
receiving it tomorrow.

Dear Stephen,

Please excuse the delay but I wanted to wear my watch for a few weeks before I commented on the repair. It has taken awhile but I have finally gotten used to having the weight back on my wrist. The replacement watch I was wearing did not even weigh half as much as my Speedmaster. When I opened the package I was literally stunned, my grandmother gave me this watch when I was thirteen and it has basically been my main watch that entire time. The watch look brand new when I took it out of the box. Every part of it was clean and polished. After I started to wind it I realized how different (stronger and smoother) the action of the new mainspring was compared to when I sent it to you for repair.

The watch has been keeping impeccable time and for the first time in a long time the stop watch function works whenever I press the stop/start button. I really appreciate all of your labor and your single minded determination to get the movement cleaned and balanced and running correctly. The results are nothing short of spectacular. I will be using your service exclusively in the future.

Once again, thank you for your effort. It is great to have my watch back.

Best Regards,

I just received my Omega watch today and it looks great! Thanks for the
good work and always keeping me updated.

Dear Mr. Thomas,

Thank you so much for repairing my self-winding Omega Ladymatic watch. Your charge to repair it was extremely reasonable. It is once again working beautifully. As you know, it is an old watch...probably from the '60's, so I was particularly unhappy when it stopped working when I dropped it accidentally.

We live on the North Olympic Peninsula and it is almost impossible to find quality watch repair around here. We went to the internet and were delighted to find you in Portland since we travel frequently to Portland to visit family.

Thank you again.

Dear Stephen.
My Omega and Tissot watches arrived in the morning mail. I am delighted with your work. They are family heirlooms and I wanted them to be put back in the best condition possible. Thanks to you my goals have been met. Thank you very much!
I have attached photos of two pocket watches that I inherited from my grandfather and great grandfather. If you have time can you take a look at the pictures and tell me anything about these antiques? I know that they are old and that they were used every day by my forefathers, but nothing else. Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Roger

Dear Stephen,

I have received my Omega Seamaster Chronometer watch. I am very pleased to say that the quality of repairs is superior to any in my local area. My watch looks and runs great. I thank you for the care and attention you gave to my watch. This being especially true due to the age of the watch which was purchased in 1972. Once again thank you for such excellent service.

Dear B D,

I hope that you have received your Omega Seamaster DeVille by now, and that the work is to your satisfaction. As it was a bit of a bear to work on and find a gold plater to do the case work, if you have a moment, I would appreciate knowing if you are happy with the work. If there is anything amiss or not to your liking, I would very much like to know, particularly as I hope that I have at last found a good gold plater I can stick with.

Dear Stephen:

We received my Father-in-law's Omega Automatic today and we are delighted with the look and performance of the watch. I really appreciate the service you performed and the extra effort you went through to find a new Omega "cyclops" crystal for this 40 year old vintage piece. Your quick response to all our questions and very fair price for such excellent craftsmanship made it a pleasure to deal with you.
Thank You, and I will definitely tell others of your fine service.
